Celebrating the Earth on April 22, 2022
Hamilton Village Care Centre is proudly celebrating Earth Day today by engaging everyone at the home to do their part.
“It’s going to take all of us” said Kristal Amar de Castro, Recreation Manager, as she starts the day’s special programs to both celebrate the earth and create action.
The wise words of John F. Kennedy created inspiration when he said “If not us, who? If not now, when?” and that’s the leadership we need now. As part of the day at Hamilton Village, Kristal shared her thoughts along with those of many world leaders about Earth Day.
This is the moment to change it all – the business climate, the political climate, and how we take action on our physical climate. We must have unstoppable courage to preserve and protect our health, our families, our livelihoods…. and invest in our planet.
Businesses, governments and citizens: everyone must be accounted for and everyone be held accountable.
Residents, families and the team were inspired by Kristal and her messages to act (boldly), innovate (broadly) and implement (equitably).
The time is now to choose both a prosperous and sustainable future while we still have time to restore nature and build a healthy planet for our children and for their children.
