Creekstone Celebrates the Inspiration of Terry Fox
The sun was out and shining as we walked, strolled and wheeled together for The Terry Fox 2022 Walkathon ‘Creekstone Edition’ on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. Over 60 participants joined us today including Residents, family members, volunteers and staff to honor Terry Fox on his legacy mission to end cancer. “We had lots of fun and laughter during the 800m walk” said Anmolpreet, a recreation assistant at Creekstone, “and some Residents even took the extra step and did 2.4 KM distance in total!” This is one example of the many programs at Creekstone.
As Mei Marquez, Recreation Manager, shares regularly, her personal mantra is “Don’t just survive – Thrive!” and we clearly see her passion at times like this. More photos of this and other happenings at the home can be found on the Creekstone Care Centre Facebook page.
